COVID-19: Reps seek review of School curriculum

The House of Representative Committee on Basic Education and services has stressed the need to review school curriculum due to the present situation of the country.
The new Curriculum will be geared towards strengthening the teachings of Sciences, Health Sciences and Social Studies incorporate the good knowledge of infectious diseases
The call was contained in a letter addressed to the Ministry of Education, signed by the committee's chairman, Proff. Julius Ihonvbele

He noted that the pandemic had further exposed the need for relevant new technology in the nation's school system.
The committee advised all public and private schools to sentisize their pupils/students adequately on the dangers of COVID-19 and adhere to rules involved.
It urged the minister to direct all managements of all public and private schools to fumigate schools before reopening to protect students and teachers from the Pandemic because schools can resume any time from now.
